TickerRelay policy

What this policy covers

This policy covers information submitted through tickerrelay.com, including the TickerRelay support and onboarding forms and the invite-only publisher-access area. Product license and update requests are governed by separate service controls and are not copied into either site-intake table.

Information we collect

When you open a support request, we collect the name and email address you provide, the selected product and topic, an optional site URL, and your subject and message. We also keep the ticket reference, status, and timestamps needed to respond and maintain a support history.

To limit automated abuse, the support endpoint creates a one-way hash from the connecting network address and a short time window. The onboarding endpoint uses a separate one-way hash and rate-limit table. Raw network addresses are not written to support or onboarding records, and rate-limit records are deleted after about 48 hours.

When you ask to start a ticker, we collect your name and email, the site name and URL, the product and plan reference, the coverage details you provide, optional display notes, and the timestamps needed to review and respond to the request.

If you are approved for Publisher access, we use your invited email address to confirm access. A required session cookie keeps you signed in for up to 12 hours. The cookie is not available to browser scripts and is sent only in same-site requests. The access code itself is not stored by the site.

Publisher access login attempts use a temporary one-way network hash for abuse prevention. Those rate-limit records are removed after about 48 hours.

What not to send

Do not send a full license key, activation or download token, WordPress password, signing key, payment-card number, or other authentication secret. These forms automatically reject several common TickerRelay credential formats, but you remain responsible for removing other sensitive information from free-form text.

How we use and share information

We use support information only to investigate the request, communicate with you, protect the service, and improve the relevant product. We do not sell support information. Our infrastructure providers process it only as needed to host, secure, and operate the site.

Retention and deletion

Support tickets are retained for up to 24 months so recurring issues can be handled consistently, unless a longer period is required for security, legal, or dispute resolution. Older tickets are removed automatically as new requests are processed.

Onboarding requests that have not become customer records are retained for up to 12 months while we review the request and communicate next steps. A cleanup check removes eligible older onboarding requests when new requests are processed.

Your choices

You may ask us to correct or delete support information, subject to records we must keep for security or legal reasons. Open a request and choose “Something else,” then include the reference number without including any license key or password.
